Hack Box video of young peregrines from James River Reserve Fleet

As we were cleaning the hack box today, we thought you’d enjoy seeing and hearing from the young peregrines inside it. These birds are from Virgina’s James River Reserve Fleet (4 birds) and Watts Island (1 bird). They were placed in the box on Monday May 17 and are growing up fast! The noise of the birds overwhelmed the microphone, so the sound is distorted. This is what happens to your ears in the hack box too!

Check out this 8 second video.

    Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing you from Spain. I’m currently working in a limestone mine rehabilitation project. One of the actions we would like to include is a peregrine falcon hacking program. In order to complete my report I’m in the need of good quality pictures showing a hack box for peregrines. Searching the web I came through the web of your project, where I have seen plenty of good pictures. I would like to ask you if you could provide me a few of them. I can not pay for the pictures but in case I would use them to illustrate the report, authors will be properly acknowledged. I’m particularly interested in a picture on 5th page of the 2009 report.I have benn trying to contact you through the email in your web, but it seems not to be working.

Thanks for your attention and best regards.
    J. Elorriaga
